Although this animation never made it to final production due to time constraints and military obligations, the concept was proven and the animatronic “frame” was completed. I welded and mounted a system that allowed an item 10-12 feet in front of the mechanism to rise up and down as well as swing left and right 60 degrees. Dubbed “the flyer” by my cohorts, this mechanism was welded to a roller bearing assembly and was able to lift 10 lbs at a mere 80 psi. It now resides at a local professional haunted house delivering screams and scares year after year.
